Neon Tarot Privacy Policy

Information stored on your device

Neon Tarot handles the questions you enter, your selected focus, card draws, spread positions, orientations, readings, preferences, saved journal entries, and personal reflections. Card logic and the standard reading synthesis run locally. Saved readings and reflections are kept in local app storage; Atoms does not receive those records through an app-operated reading backend.

Optional enhanced readings

On compatible Apple devices, you may use Apple’s on-device language model to create a connected reflection. The model processes your question, focus, drawn cards, orientations, positions, and relevant interpretation guidance on your device. Availability depends on your device and system configuration. If the model is unavailable or cannot provide a suitable response, the built-in reading remains available. The app does not send reading prompts to OpenAI or another app-operated cloud AI service.

Spoken questions and permissions

If you choose to dictate a question, Neon Tarot requests microphone and Speech permissions and uses Apple’s English (en-US) speech recognizer with on-device recognition required. Dictation is limited to 45 seconds per capture. If on-device recognition is unavailable, you can type instead. The app does not save an audio recording as a journal attachment. You can change microphone and Speech permissions in your device settings.

Spoken narration

Reading and card-guide narration is generated locally using the bundled Kokoro-82M Core ML model. Reading text is not sent to a speech-generation service. You may choose between the Heart and Michael voices.

Information you share with us

If you contact Atoms for support, we receive the information you choose to share, such as your email address, message, screenshots, and attachments. Avoid including private questions or journal entries unless you want to share them for support. We use this information to respond to you and investigate problems.

Website and diagnostics

The Neon Tarot website may process standard server-log and analytics information to operate, secure, and understand use of the site. Apple may provide crash or diagnostic information if you choose to share analytics with developers. These are separate from the app’s local reading and journal storage.

Use and sharing

We use support, website, and diagnostic information to provide support, improve reliability, operate and secure our services, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information or use your reading and journal records for advertising. Information we receive may be handled by service providers helping us host, maintain, or support our services, or disclosed where required by law or necessary to protect our users and services.

Retention and your choices

Saved readings and reflections remain in local app storage until you delete them or remove the app and its data. You can revisit or delete journal entries, type instead of dictating, and use the built-in reading without optional enhanced writing. If you copy a reading or share information outside the app, its handling depends on the destination you choose. Device backups and system services are governed by your Apple settings and Apple’s practices. We retain information shared directly with us only as long as reasonably needed for support, service operation, and legal obligations.

Privacy requests

You can contact info@atoms.co.za to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information you have shared directly with us, subject to applicable law. Atoms cannot access or delete journal records held only on your device; manage those within the app or your device settings.

Updates to this policy

We may update this policy as Neon Tarot develops. The date above identifies the latest revision. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
